Zijn onze hersenen 1.0 of 2.0

Mooi artikel over the probabilistic age. Mensen moeten wennen aan nieuwe vormen van waarheden en betrouwbaarheid zoals in wiki’s en blogs.

“Our brains aren’t wired to think in terms of statistics and probability. We want to know whether an encyclopedia entry is right or wrong. We want to know that there’s a wise hand (ideally human) guiding Google’s results. We want to trust what we read.”

Maar werken onze hersenen en zintuigen niet op eenzelfde manier? Vele kleine impulsen leveren gezamenlijk een overall waarheid.
